Latin Teacher - Part-Time- High School: The World Language Department is responsible for the language education of students in grades 3 - 12. The languages taught by the World Language Department include Latin, French, Spanish, German, and Chinese. The Latin Teacher maintains up-to-date teaching techniques to provide students with a quality educational experience. Candidates must be able to teach students in beginning Latin classes up to the Advanced Placement level at the high school level. Ideal candidates would also have the ability to teach French or Spanish. World Language teachers report to their respective Principals and to the World Language Department Chair. Teachers are expected to work collaboratively with other teachers in the World Language Department, interact with their own faculty, with colleagues outside their faculty, with other professionals, with staff and administrators, with students, and with parents. The work year is 178 days (or as stipulated in the Faculty Association contract).
Start date for this position is September 1, 2012.
